Creatine Infusion System
New & Improved Formula
A Dietary Supplement
Along with proper protein and fluid intake, creatine monohydrate supplementation can help athletes get lean, get pumped and achieve overall improved muscle performance. In fact, creatine is one of the most popular supplements among bodybuilders and other athletes because it is so effective. When formulated with additional key ingredients, creatine’s effectiveness can be maximized to yield optimum results. That’s where Meritech’s new and improved Creatine Infusion System comes into play. This specially designed formula not only provides the highest quality creatine monohydrate, but also ingredients to promote enhanced uptake and delivery of the creatine molecules into muscle cells to yield incredible strength, mass and performance gains.
Creatine monohydrate is a metabolite that functions as a precursor to creatine phosphate. Once converted to creatine phosphate, it provides a "high energy" phosphate molecule for ATP production. (ATP is the chemical in our bodies that fuels all muscular contractions.) As proven by an increasing number of scientific studies, creatine coupled with strength training influences muscular contractions, cell hydration, strength and ultimately long-term muscle growth when adequate protein is present. (A good rule of thumb for proper protein intake is to consume at least one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day.) This formula contains 5 grams creatine monohydrate per 50-gram serving.
The benefits of creatine supplementation have also been shown to increase if dextrose (also called glucose) and taurine are used (Kreider et al, Medicine and Science in Sports Exercise, Jan. 1998). Glucose helps spike the body’s insulin level to help deliver creatine to the muscle cells. Furthermore, unlike pure creatine monohydrate powder, it is not necessary to mix this product with fruit juice since the appropriate amount of dextrose is already pre-mixed into the formula, along with the L-taurine.
Furthermore, Creatine Infusion System contains L-arginine, an essential amino acid, and vanadyl sulfate, a key mineral compound. Research suggests that both of these ingredients may mimic the effects of insulin, a crucial anabolic hormone essential for proper glucose metabolism. Insulin also helps muscle cells take in amino acids, carbohydrates and creatine monohydrate molecules. If substances ingested with creatine could mimic the effect of insulin, such as L-arginine and vanadyl sulfate, the creatine could be more effectively delivered into the muscle cells and thereby enhancing the benefits!
Suggested Use: For maximum benefits, Creatine Infusion System should be taken in two phases: the loading phase and the maintenance phase. The loading phase requires an athlete to load up on creatine in order to saturate muscle stores while the maintenance phase helps sustain creatine-saturated muscle stores throughout the training period. For best results, cycle the use of this product and do not skip days while in either phase.
Loading Phase Dosing: Take two 50-gram servings for 5 days (one serving with 8-10 ounces of water before a workout and one serving with 8-10 ounces of water directly after the workout).
Maintenance Phase Dosing: Take one 50-gram serving daily with 8-10 ounces of water before a workout or in the morning on non-workout days.
For both phases, slightly more or less Creatine Infusion System may be taken per serving based on bodyweight and workout level. For example, a 220-pound individual who trains at a high intensity level may use an additional 2-3 teaspoons per serving. On the other hand, a 150-pound individual on a light workout schedule may choose to use 2-3 teaspoons less per serving.
Furthermore, in addition to proper protein intake, it is crucial that plenty of water be consumed throughout the day while supplementing with creatine monohydrate since it has a tendency to cause the body to hold water. Suggested daily water consumption for athletes taking creatine is at least 8 glasses of water beyond normal water intake. Proper hydration is essential!
